Boston University, Shawmut Design and Construction, Leftfield, and Miller Dyer Spears are leading the renovation of the Warren Towers and incorporating the use of recycled materials in the ADA required sign package. They are incorporating a new sign system with CADCrylic™ as a way to improve LEED certification and move towards the use of more recycled materials. It is a pleasure to work with the project team as they lead the global movement toward environmental sustainability and the use of recycled materials, stated Stephen Moylan, President of Cadwell. The Warren Towers project is an amazing renovation project that will upgrade one of the largest dorm systems in the United States including the renewal of more than 3,000 signs in Towers A, B and C. The project is registered with the certification goal of LEED Gold®. The Warren Towers renovation— and all major renovations and new construction projects at Boston University—pursue LEED Gold® as outlined in the University’s Climate Action Plan.
